We aim to process as little data as possible. You do not need an account, and we never ask for the password of any social media account.

Data we process

• The link you paste (TikTok, Facebook, X or Instagram), so we can fetch the media you asked for.
• Your IP address, only to prevent abuse (rate limiting). It is stored as a one-way hash, never as plain text, and deleted automatically after 30 days.
• Basic technical data such as browser type, time of the request and whether it succeeded, for statistics and fixing errors.

What we do not do

• We do not keep the videos, photos or audio you download. Files are streamed from the platform to your device; when we join a video and its audio track, this happens on the fly and nothing is stored.
• We do not access private accounts or content that requires a login.
• We do not sell your personal data.

Service providers

• Cloudflare – security, the Turnstile anti-bot check and content delivery.
• Railway – hosting of our download server.
• Google Analytics – anonymous usage statistics (pages visited, which platform a link came from, whether a download worked). It does not receive the links you paste.
• Third-party data providers that read public Instagram post information on our behalf.

Browser extension

The VidSavely extension for Chrome only reads the address of the tab you are on at the moment you click its button or its right-click menu entry, and opens vidsavely.com with that link so the download can start. It does not read page content, browsing history or anything in the background, does not collect personal data and does not send data anywhere other than vidsavely.com.

Cookies

We use Google Analytics cookies to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are visited and whether downloads succeed. Advertising features are switched off and we do not sell data. Visitors in Europe are asked for consent first, and Google Analytics only runs after they click Accept; you can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. We do not use advertising cookies. Cloudflare Turnstile may use temporary technical data to tell humans from bots.

Your rights

You can ask us what data relates to you or ask for it to be deleted. Because IP addresses are stored only as hashes, we usually cannot link records to a person.
