Why Some FB Downloads Have No Sound – and How We Fix It
Ever downloaded a Facebook video that looked great but was completely silent? Or one with sound but a picture so blurry you could barely make out faces? It's not your phone. For HD playback, Facebook sends the video and the audio as two separate streams and lets its player combine them. Many downloaders grab only one of the two.
Our FB video downloader takes the best picture stream, up to 1080p, plus the best audio stream, and joins them on our server into one MP4. The streams are copied as they are, not compressed again, so what you save matches what you watched on Facebook and plays in any regular player.
In the Philippines, Facebook is where a lot of life happens: barangay announcements, school programs, parish Masses streamed on a public Page, local news reports, and that video Tita posted of the family reunion. Posts get buried in the feed, and the Save button inside Facebook only bookmarks them – once the post is deleted, your saved item disappears too. A downloaded MP4 stays on your phone.
Online sellers find it useful as well. If you ran a live selling session on your public Page and Facebook kept the recording, you can download it afterwards to double-check the mine calls, cut highlights for a Reel or simply keep a record. A Live can only be saved after it ends and shows up as a normal video – never while you're still on air.
For long recordings like a two-hour program or a liga basketball replay, the SD file is often enough if you mostly need the commentary, and it's much easier on mobile data. Files over roughly 500 MB are blocked to keep the service running smoothly for everyone.
Only public posts work. Private groups, friends-only posts and Stories are out of reach by design, and we never ask for your Facebook login. If the same creator is on Instagram, try the Instagram Reels downloader for their posts, or paste any link into the online video downloader on the home page.
