Downloading From Instagram in 3 Steps

  1. Copy the link on Instagram

Tap the paper-plane or ⋯ icon on the Reel or post and choose Copy link. For a Story, tap ⋯ while it's playing and copy the link from there.

  2. Paste it and tap Download

The box accepts Reel, post and Story links and works out on its own which kind you pasted.

  3. Save what you need

Videos come as MP4 and photos as full-size JPG. For carousels, save the slides one at a time or tap Download All.

What the Instagram Reels Downloader Handles

Reels with audio

MP4 files with sound, up to 1080p when the original upload was that sharp.

Photos at full size

You get the biggest version Instagram keeps, not a cropped preview or a screenshot.

Every carousel slide

Multi-photo and mixed posts show each slide separately, with a Download All button on top.

Public Stories

Stories from public accounts can be saved as long as they're still up, within 24 hours of posting.

Reel sound only

Keep the audio of a Reel as a separate file.

More Than an Instagram Reels Downloader

Instagram packs a lot of formats into one app: Reels, regular video posts, single photos, carousels of up to twenty slides, and Stories that disappear after a day. Most tools only deal with one of these. Paste any of them here and you get a list of exactly what the post contains, each item with its own button.

Carousels are where this saves the most effort. Think of a friend's Siargao or Baguio photo dump, a café menu, or a step-by-step skincare routine. Instead of screenshotting slide by slide – and ending up with the battery icon and rounded corners in every image – you get the original photos and videos at full resolution in one go.

Stories are trickier. They can only be downloaded while they're still up, within 24 hours of posting, and only from public accounts. Highlights and anything from a private profile aren't supported, and you'll never be asked for your Instagram password.

A quick note on music. Instagram sometimes mutes a Reel after posting when the song runs into licensing issues. When that happens, the downloaded file is silent too, because the audio no longer exists on Instagram's side. The creator's own voice and original sounds aren't affected.

Small businesses in the Philippines often post the same product video on IG, FB and TikTok. If you're gathering your own content for a portfolio, or backing it up before switching accounts, this Instagram Reels downloader pairs well with the Facebook Reels downloader and the TikTok video downloader – or paste everything into the online video downloader for all apps on the home page.

Handy Tips for Saving From IG

Allow multiple downloads

Download All saves files one after another, so your browser may ask once whether the site can download several files. Tap Allow to get the whole carousel.

Catch Stories while they're up

If a Story link gives an error, it has probably passed the 24-hour mark and can't be saved anymore.

Copy the caption too

The caption is shown with your results, so you can keep the text together with the photos – useful for recipes or product details.

Use the post link, not the profile

A profile link doesn't point to one Reel or photo. Open the exact post first, then copy its link from the Share menu.

Instagram Reels Downloader FAQ

Do downloaded Reels have sound?

Yes, Reels are saved as MP4 with their audio. If Instagram took the music out for copyright reasons, the file will be silent as well.

Can I save just one photo from a carousel?

Yes. Every slide is listed on its own, so save only the ones you need or use Download All.

Is my own IG account used when I save a Story?

No. Public Stories are fetched without logging in to any Instagram account, so yours isn't involved. Please respect people's privacy with what you save.

Are Highlights supported?

Not right now. Only posts, Reels and Stories that are currently live can be saved.

What about private IG accounts?

Content from private accounts is only visible to approved followers, so it can't be downloaded.

Can I save an X video here too?

Use the Twitter video downloader for posts on X, or paste the link on the home page and it will be detected.
