How to Download Insta Reels and Posts

  1. Copy the link in Instagram

On a Reel or post, tap the paper-plane icon or the three dots and choose Copy link. For a Story, tap the three dots → Copy link while it is still showing.

  2. Paste it above

Put the link in the box and press Download. Reel, post and Story links are all told apart automatically.

  3. Save what you want

Videos arrive as MP4 and photos as full-size JPG. In a carousel, save slides one at a time or tap Save All.

Everything the Instagram Reels Downloader Can Save

Reels with audio

MP4 files that keep their sound, in up to 1080p when the creator uploaded at that resolution.

Photos at full size

Pictures come at the largest size Instagram keeps – not a blurry thumbnail, not a screenshot.

Complete carousels

Each slide of a multi-photo or mixed post is listed separately, and one Save All button takes the lot.

Public Stories

Stories from public accounts can be saved while they are live, which means within 24 hours of posting.

Sound from any Reel

Keep only the audio of a Reel – a dialogue, a shayari or a song snippet – as a separate file.

One Instagram Reels Downloader for Every Kind of Post

Reels have become the way a lot of India entertains itself – comedy sketches in Hinglish, dance covers of the latest film song, five-minute recipes, fitness routines, wedding highlights, cricket edits. Sooner or later you want to keep one: to watch again without scrolling for it, to send to someone who doesn't have Instagram, or to put on your WhatsApp Status. That is what this Instagram Reels downloader is for.

Instagram's feed is a mix of formats, though, and Reels are only one of them. There are ordinary video posts, single photos, carousels with up to twenty slides and Stories that vanish after a day. Most tools manage just one of these. Here, the link is recognised automatically and you see exactly what the post contains, each item with its own button.

Carousels are where it saves you the most effort. Students swap notes, formula sheets and exam tips as carousels; small businesses post their new saree or jewellery collection the same way; travel pages share ten photos of one trip. Instead of screenshotting each slide and cropping away the status bar, you get every photo and video at full resolution in a single list.

Stories come with conditions. They can only be downloaded while they are still up – within 24 hours of being posted – and only from public accounts. Highlights are not supported, private profiles are out of reach, and at no point do we ask for your Instagram password.

A word about sound on Reels. Sometimes Instagram mutes a Reel after it goes live because the music clashes with a licence. When that happens, the file you save is silent too, because the audio no longer exists on Instagram's side. Voice-overs and original sounds recorded by the creator are not affected.

Creators rarely stay on one app. If the same person also uploads longer videos on Facebook or posts clips on X, the FB video downloader and the X video downloader work the same way – or simply paste any link into the online video downloader on the home page.

Tips for Saving Instagram Content

Allow multiple downloads for carousels

Save All downloads the slides one after another. Your browser may ask once whether the site can save several files – say yes.

Stories expire after 24 hours

If a Story link shows an error, it has most likely expired and can no longer be saved.

Copy the caption too

The post's caption appears with the result, so you can copy the recipe, the notes or the song name along with the file.

Open the exact post before copying

A profile link doesn't lead to a single Reel or photo. Open the post you want first, then copy its link from the Share menu.

Instagram Reels Downloader FAQ

Does the Reel download with its audio?

Yes. Reels are saved as MP4 with their sound. If Instagram has removed the music for copyright reasons, the saved file will be silent as well.

Can I save every photo from a carousel post?

Yes, all slides are listed. Save them one by one or all together with a single tap.

Can I save someone's Story without them knowing?

Public Stories can be downloaded here without logging in to Instagram, so no account of yours is involved. Please respect people's privacy when you do this.

Can I download Instagram Highlights?

Not right now – only posts, Reels and Stories that are still live are supported.

What about Reels from a private account?

They can't be downloaded. Private accounts are visible only to approved followers.

Can I use a downloaded Reel in my own Reel or Status?

Technically yes, but only if it is your own content or the creator has allowed it. Tag or credit them when you repost.

My friend sent a Facebook video instead – will that work here?

Use the Facebook video downloader for it, or paste the link on the home page, which accepts Facebook, Instagram and X links.
